OK so the stock wheels are 15x6 with an offset of -28.5 millimeters. The aftermarket wheels are still 15x6 but with an offset of -3mm and a 25mm wheel spacer. The tires would be the same 215x70R15 that’s on it now. According to my calculations and

it should be pretty close to spot on. But is there anything I’m overlooking?

Not missing anything, other than making sure that the center hub (if there is one) is the proper size, and that the bolt/stud holes line up.

Nothing that I can think of.

Well, 25mm is almost an inch- and that’s a pretty big spacer. Did you mean a wheel adapter?

If it’s not an adapter make sure you’ve got long enough studs.

Bolt holes are the proper chevy 5 on 4 3/4 pattern and the center hub I’m probably going have get machined since my car has a massive hub.

get new studs, don’t cheap out.

The real answer is anything bigger than 3mm as a spacer is probably dangerous on your factory studs.
As a general rule, wheel spacers and adapters are dangerous and sketchy as hell.
Don’t use them. Get wheels that fit properly.

Everyone has their own opinion, but to me that’s not acceptable. Only way I’d maybe run it is with extended ARP studs, and I’d check torque on the lugnuts frequently. And that’s a big MAYBE .

Just wondering, what stock wheel is 15x6 but has a -28.5 offset? Because that seems really aggressive.

That makes more sense. Pretty crazy, that would have as much poke as 15x8, -3 offset. I also have 1 inch spacers on my car. I don’t know if it’s because I found hub centric spacers, but I haven’t had any problems with them. So I would say go for it.

I’m drifting back into this thread after realizing it was his Jag he was talking about - he really would be best off trying to use an adapter, because Jag studs are super-special fuckers that look like this:
I’m not sure if extended ones can even be found.
